We operate and run several utility hubs across the UK, with our St Neots utility hub home to our partnership with Anglian Water. It is one of the larger sites in the business and home to a significant workforce made up of Lanes and Anglian Water staff. The teams at the St Neots utility hub make use of top-of-the-line equipment to serve customers in the East of England and beyond.

We provide the following services to Anglian Water at our St Neots utility hub:

• CCTV drain surveys and inspections
• Wet well cleaning
• Sewer rehabilitation
• Sewage treatment plant cleaning

About Anglian Water

Anglian Water is a water services company responsible for providing drinking water for 2.6 million properties in the East of England. It supplies water for Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire and Suffolk. The company also provides wastewater treatment facilities to a much wider area, as far north as the Humber, all the way to the Thames in the south.

On a daily basis, Anglian supply 4.2 million people with over 1.1 billion litres of water and according to the organisation, fresh water is piped through over 38,000 kilometers of water supply pipes – which is treated at one of the 143 water treatment sites it operates.
What we do at our St Neots utility hub
We have provided wastewater maintenance services for Anglian Water since back in 2013. We provide planned and reactive services on behalf of the organisation, including:

• Sewer jetting
• Wet well cleaning
• Sewer condition CCTV inspection and reporting

Since 2013, we’ve expanded our operation in and around St Neots significantly, and we now deliver services across the whole Anglian Water network.
A brand new contract
Our hard work was rewarded in 2018 when Anglian Water awarded us with an additional contract to deliver non-routine, first-time resolution sewer unblocking services.

Anglian Water can now draw on Lanes’ resources and expertise from depots across its region to help manage fluctuations in demands on its sewer and water treatment network.

Services provided by the new contract allows Lanes to deliver first-time resolution sewer unblocking, blockage clearance on public and transferred sewers, and emergency CCTV ‘look-see’ drainage surveys.
