Health & Safety
Health and safety has always been a top priority at Lanes. And a company-wide health and safety culture, which begins at the very top with the board of directors and reaches out to every level, at every depot and in every department, is a testament to that.
Our approach is to exceed all mandatory standards so that our clients and staff know that their health and safety is paramount at all times. In fact, we feel strongly that this is one of the reasons for our success and standing in the industry. With an excellent health and safety track record, the Lanes Group is welcomed as a partner and supplier by other contractors and by direct clients.
We’ve passed independent audits with a rigorous H&S focus from the likes of Achilles UDVB, Safe Contractor and Linkup with flying colours. And, having gained RoSPA awards each year since we entered, our trophy cabinet now boasts five RoSPA Golds for Occupational Health and Safety. We even have our own RoSPA 'Guardian Angel' in Scott Tracey!
We were immensely proud to win the Health and Safety Excellence accolade at the Construction News Specialist Awards 2014 for our initiative 'What Good Looks Like', part of our 'Essential Standards' enterprise. Lanes also won a Construction News Health and Safety Excellence Award in 2013, and has amassed no fewer than five UKSTT trophies in three years — all of which involved detailed health and safety scrutiny. The Point of Works risk assessment developed in-house has been hailed as 'revolutionary', thanks to its clear and concise traffic light system, whilst the Safe System of Work packs in each operational Lanes’ vehicle are highly commended.
We could go on, but you get the idea. When you deal with the Lanes Group, you can be sure that the highest standard of health and safety is a given.
