The idea of jet vacuumation is basic, but our equipment is both sophisticated and far-reaching. Practically every Lanes’ customer benefits from our highly developed jet vac facility.
Jetting
Our custom-built jet vac units deliver high pressured water jetting capable of removing any stubborn blockage or obstruction, whether that’s in a pipe, sewer, drain, gulley, interceptor or tank. The water breaks up the solids and debris, so that it can be flushed through the system to a downstream manhole chamber.
Vacuumation
Once the debris and silt has been moved by water jet to the manhole chamber, it is removed by the vacuumation element of the tanker, before being taken to a waste processing station to be disposed of according to all current legislation. Lanes is a registered waste handler.
More jet vacuumation applications
Jet vacuumation and tankering is also used to empty and clean interceptors, soak-aways, chambers, septic tanks along with any other chamber in which debris may collect and reduce capacity — even holding lagoons, fish ponds and boating lakes.
Pollution Prevention Guidelines
Organisations are responsible for following environmental regulations and, for many, Lanes’ jet vacuumation and tankering is a key element in their compliance with Pollution Prevention Guidelines (PPG), involving drainage maintenance, emptying interceptors or bunds, waste management and managing fire water run-off or spillages.
Registered waste handling
Our waste management involves the straightforward removal of all types of silt, debris, fluids, oil, grease, sewage, interceptor waste, etc., by tanker to the nearest registered waste disposal station. Lanes is a registered waste handler for a large number of clients who trust us with their waste management, knowing that we follow legislation to the letter and complete all required documentation meticulously.
