Ultracoat is a revolutionary tanking system for eradicating water ingress and correcting minor defects and cracks in brickwork and concrete. A non-toxic, 100% solid epoxy lining, Ultracoat is applied to a surface to create a smooth and flawless waterproof finish.
The system has already been used successfully in the USA for 15 years to tank more than 40,000 manholes, but is relatively new to the UK. Lanes was one of the first specialists in the UK to become an approved installer after recognising Ultracoat’s potential.
A non-toxic, structural waterproof coating
Ultracoat stops water ingress and fills minor cracks and defects in brickwork and concrete. Ultracoat is applied hot using patented spraying equipment to leave the surface coated with a non-toxic, 100% solid, epoxy lining.
Quick drying
Ultracoat can be applied to a specified depth of coating and dries quickly. Treated areas can be back in service within a few hours — typically just 3 hours for a standard manhole.

Ideal for rehabilitating manholes, Ultracoat is equally suited to use in pipes, sewers, tanks, tunnels, bridges, bunds, liquid storage vessels, etc. It can be used in confined spaces, and it adheres to almost any surface — including damp substrates.
Can be used in a whole range of industries
Because Ultracoat is non-toxic, contains no harmful VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and withstands heat up to 150ºC, it’s ideal for a wide range of industries, including chemical, power generation, pharmaceutical, utilities, civil engineering, rail, water and sewerage and food and drink production.
High chemical resistance and ph tolerant from 3 – 12
With high chemical resistance and high ph—tolerance from 3 to 12, Ultracoat also withstands heat up to 150ºC and has 50-year lifespan.
