Highway drainage lining

A highway authority in South West England had identified blockages caused by root ingress in road drains at key locations. These could have caused flash flooding that would be a road hazard and a threat to nearby properties. Where such pipes were found to be significantly damaged, the conventional solution was to excavate and replace them. The authority turned to the Lanes Sewer Rehabilitation and Lining Division for advice on an alternative no-dig approach that would be more cost-effective, safer, less disruptive and deliver long-term protection against root ingress.
