Following a company-wide review of our corporate social responsibility policies, we have renewed our commitment to and support of three major causes: cancer support, defibrillator donation and driving out acts of modern day slavery and human trafficking.

Cancer support

Macmillan Cancer Support are our chosen charity for 2016/17. Unanimously nominated by the entire company, our staff are encouraged to work together to raise funds for Macmillan whenever possible. Every pound that the Lanes team raises will then be matched by the company at the end of the year.

Stamping out human trafficking

Finally, we are passionate about eliminating acts of modern day slavery and human trafficking, not just from our own operations, but that of all of the businesses within our supply chain too. We work tirelessly to provide adequate resources, training and investment to keep our team vigilant for the signs of such acts taking place, as well as how best to respond to them.

Defibrillator donation

We also work with national charity Hand on Heart to donate defibrillators and appropriate training to schools located in the same areas as our depots. Making these devices available helps to save the lives of anyone located in or near to the school who suffers sudden heart complications.
