Lanes for Drains Derby praised for Septic tank cleaning

Customer Mark Wolfe has praised Lanes for Drains drainage team Joe Burt and Mike Harrison, based at our Derby depot, for “going the extra mile” in their approach to emptying his septic tank.

And Mark knows all about going the distance to deliver quality customer service, because he is a senior pilot with British Airways.

Cleaning septic tanks is usually one of the simplest jobs Lanes for Drains is called on to do – but Joe and Mike showed they are willing to put in extra effort, even for most basic of tasks.

Mark was so impressed with their approach that he contacted Lanes for Drains to congratulate them on a job well done.

He said: “Having had Lanes recommended to me to service our septic tank and release a blocked drain I would like to thank the management for a job that was done above and beyond my expectations.

“The team that came out, Joe and Mike, had to navigate a large vehicle up a very demanding lane and had a very tight access to the property.

“On inspection the work required two visits with the tanker to empty the tank. The manhole covers were cemented in and had to be released. Both men worked with a cheerful disposition and more importantly enthusiasm.

“A very professional job and I will be only too pleased to use and recommend Lanes in the future. In this climate it is very encouraging to see a firm giving 100% and a little bit more when required.”

“That’s when our powerful jet vac tanking comes into its own because we carry out septic tank pumping we can then get clean it along with all drainage lines at the same time to clear any blocked pipes.

“Also, there are different septic tank systems. For example, Mr Wolfe’s is a septic digester, which is designed to operate differently to standard septic tanks and sewage tanks. These differences are particularly important in relation to the disposal of water effluent either in soakaway systems or drainage channels.

“Because we understand these technical aspects fully, as qualified drainage specialists, we can give customers the best advice on septic tank emptying and any associated problems.”
