What does our service cover?

Lanes delivers commercial tankering services to a wide range of industries, including:

  • Food manufacturing
  • Petrochemicals
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Renewable energy
  • Agriculture
  • Facilities management

Our tankering services include:

Non-hazardous effluent removal – collecting, transporting and disposing of a full range of non-hazardous effluent waste, including byproducts from food and drink production, as well as fire water and surface water runoff.

Hazardous waste removal – using specialist tankers rather than straight vacuumation tankers, which makes the process more effective.

Leachate removal – disposing of leachate generated by the agricultural sector and green waste recycling processes such as commercial composting plants, anaerobic digestion units and biomass renewable energy generation.

Commercial septic tank cleaning – cleaning and emptying commercial septic tanks of all sizes, as well as inspecting, surveying and replacing them when necessary.

Bund wall cleaning – cleaning bund walls and emptying bunds when effluent discharge has occurred, or when a buildup of wastewater needs to be removed.

Chambers, septic tanks and cesspits – removing silt, sludge and liquid waste from vessels, chambers, manholes, soakaways, septic tanks and cesspits using vacuumation.

Manhole chambers – dealing with car park manhole chambers contaminated by traffic debris, or foul manhole chambers containing sewage and FOG (fats, oils and grease).

Swimming pool filters – manually removing waste in cases where swimming pool filtration systems have not been properly maintained, resulting in the filters and filter beds becoming heavy, and a solidification of the silt content. Powerful water jets are used to create a vortex and liquefy the silt before vacuuming it out.

Lagoons – addressing silt buildup in firewater lagoons in remote areas, where access to a supply may be a problem if there was a fire, and ensuring that fire appliance pumps are not blocked in an emergency.

Interceptor cleaning – removing silt and contaminants from surface water interceptors, or interceptors installed at petrol stations, manufacturing and chemical processing sites. We ensure the function of the unit is not affected, while cleaning down the filters, sensors and surrounding areas.

Balancing lakes – removing the silt and debris buildup that can amass over time, which reduces the capacity of the lake.

Lift chambers – working with manufacturers’ service engineers to vacuum out oil-contaminated water that has accumulated due to seepage, facilitating sump pump maintenance.

Hydrodemolition – providing the water needed to deliver high and ultra-high-pressure water jetting services for hydrodemolition, including steel and concrete cutting and surface preparation.

Pre-planned maintenance programmes (PMPs) – collecting your waste and cleaning your waste system as often as you need, with each PMP tailor-made to fit your organisation’s requirements.

Reactive insurance-related work – providing spill clearance services, effluent removal and disposal of fire water runoff, which can help prevent the escalation of environmental issues and minimise insurance-related costs.
