Wastewater engineers from Lanes Group plc, which maintains sewers for Thames Water, are making sure water can flow in other directions around the rock-hard plug of rogue building material.

As our new infographic shows, Lanes has an emergency sewer monitoring and maintenance programme in place to protect local homes and businesses while the best way to crack the concreteberg and remove it from the sewer is considered.
