Paul McParland is the health, safety, environmental and quality manager at Lanes Group.

He has over 30 years of experience in this field in overseeing safe, effective and efficient operations at work sites across the country, and has a strong track record of success.

Paul has managed national multi-site projects and emergency response work during a career that has included roles with Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, Cleanaway and Veolia Environmental Services.

He has also overseen health and safety at the London 2012 Olympics construction site and on large offshore oil and gas rigs.

Among his most impressive achievements, he was responsible for developing and introducing a behavioural safety programme for Lanes that helped to reduce lost time from accidents to zero for more than 12 months.

His work has also helped Lanes to rack up ten consecutive RoSPA Health and Safety Award submissions, meaning we are now eligible to receive a prestigious President’s Award.

A chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, Paul has a comprehensive and pragmatic understanding of how health and safety principles apply to construction and utilities work, and continues to play an essential role in maintaining Lanes’ high standards of workplace safety every day.
