What we do at our Stafford utility hub

In 2011, at the very start of our contract with Amey – working on behalf of Severn Trent Water – our Stafford base only had one manager and eight operational personnel. Now we employ more 170 people, operate over 100 specialist vehicles and carry out more than 250 drain and sewer blockage clearances every single day.

We’ve also invested in the latest, state-of-the-art drainage equipment, including drain unblocking vans, jet tankers, full-HD CCTV equipment and much more. It is this expert workforce, top-of-the-range equipment and steely determination that enables us to deliver a comprehensive service for Amey, on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

What’s more, the efforts of our highly committed wastewater operatives have been praised by Severn Trent Water for helping the company achieve very good results in the latest round of Outcome Delivery Incentives (ODIs).

Supporting rapid growth

This utility hub is headquartered at Stowe-by-Chartley, near Stafford, in Staffordshire. However, as the services we deliver have expanded, satellite utility hubs have been opened in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, and, most recently, in Leicester.

Opening these locations allows us to get Lanes personnel on site – responding to issues – quickly and efficiently.
