Lanes Group Rail Division

Lanes and London Underground

From our Rainham base, we plan, implement and execute extensive operations in both premises and track environments for TfL, London Underground Limited (LU) and Tube Lines Limited, in a comprehensive and wide ranging service which goes far beyond our core drainage business.

For instance, the Rail division’s main focus is TPS (Total Package Solution) 3A & 3B Contracts. This is a 24/7, 365-day service involving over 250 personnel and supply chain operatives who carry out emergency fault rectification and planned works to LUL drainage, premises, vegetation, locks and security.

Matthew Todd
Managing Director of Lanes Rail Division

We have similar roles under existing contracts for Tube Lines Limited (a PPP initiative) on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly Lines, where the main focus is maintenance and fault rectification activities around bridges, structures and track-based assets. On top of that, a three-year contract covers civils and drainage project works on behalf of London Underground’s Asset Protection Department (APD); whilst other commissions come from within the TfL LUL estate and are centred on project and asset stabilisation.
