Stone culvert survey

The National Trust tasked Lanes Group to survey the drainage system of a Grade I listed building in Morpeth, Northumberland. Before the project, surface and foul water had been channeled into a nearby wastewater treatment plant, which had reached capacity. The team at Lanes conducted a CCTV survey with an archaeologist to discover the original stone culverts were in remarkably good condition and could be used to divert surface water.
