Drainage Problems

Lanes is the first port of call for thousands of businesses each year, and as soon as you see our work for yourself, you will see why.

As well as the drainage advice we provide in this section, we can also offer insight on ownership issues to determine whether sewer problems are your responsibility, or that of your utilities provider in accordance with 2011 private drain and sewer regulations. For further information, along with full details of all the local water and wastewater suppliers in England, Wales and Scotland, we recommend consulting Ofwat or Scottish Water as appropriate.

For concerns about severe weather, the Environment Agency’s website or Twitter feed are your best port of call, and DEFRA have particularly useful flooding data – though we do also offer flood alerts on our own Twitter feed, with regular retweets of pertinent information from all of the agencies listed here. The Met Office are a better source for standard five-day forecasts, however.
