Lanes Group joins Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber

Drainage and wastewater specialist Lanes Group has become a member of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.

The team at the Lanes Aberdeen depot is looking forward to taking an active role in working with the Chamber and its members throughout 2023.

Mark Morrice, Area Development Manager at Lanes Aberdeen, said: “We work with hundreds of businesses and organisations in many different sectors across the north of Scotland every year.

“So it seemed right to become part of the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, which helps businesses work together and represents their interests so well.

“Like the chamber, Lanes wants to promote the regional economy and work positively with other local businesses. Of course, being a chamber member also gives us opportunities to showcase our services to a wider business audience.

“The Lanes Aberdeen depot offers a unique mix of services – combining drainage maintenance and repair expertise with industrial cleaning services – that’s ideally suited to the commercial and industrial economy in Aberdeen and the North-east of Scotland.”

Making connections

Neil Burr, Commercial Manager at Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce, said: “We’re pleased to have Lanes Group on board with us. It will be my pleasure to work closely with the team, showing how the Chamber can assist them in growing and developing their business and help make connections.”

Lanes is the UK’s largest independent drainage and wastewater specialist. Its depot on the Altens Industrial Estate, in Aberdeen, is one of three it operates in Scotland. The others are in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The company works for a wide range of businesses, including Scottish Water, as well as government agencies.

Its teams deliver a comprehensive range of services, including drain and sewer unblocking, sewer cleaning, tank cleaning, tankering, sewer excavation and repair, and sewer rehabilitation, including advanced cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining.

Unique service mix

Responding to the needs of key industrial sectors, including whisky distilling, oil and gas, and wastewater management, Lanes Aberdeen has also developed specific expertise in industrial cleaning and waste management.

Mark Morrice said: “The capability and capacity of our local depot, supported, as it is, by a leading national company, combined with our industrial cleaning and waste management expertise, gives our industrial clients a unique mix of services.

“When you add in the determination of our local team to deliver the best possible and most responsive service, I believe Lanes Aberdeen is an excellent option for businesses and organisations that need the very best drainage and industrial cleaning support.”
